Meet Stephanie
Hello Friend!
My passion for food, fitness, and fun blossomed in 2013 leading me into my dream career as a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist.
This site will help you connect with me and other resources on your path to a healthy, fit, and happy lifestyle.
My husband and I were both in the Navy when we witnessed a friend die of a heart attack in front of us. This event inspired us to learn more about how the heart works, how to keep it strong and healthy, and how food plays a key role in health and fitness. That's when I decided to go back to school to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
While getting my nutrition degree our daughter was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) requiring open heart surgery. After the successful surgery I learned that I also share a genetic link to CHD. These events inspired our family to change our lives and the amazing positive results rededicated my efforts to complete my career transition, becoming a RDN in 2020, committed to helping as many other people and families as I could.
As a family we practice heart healthy eating and fitness habits, we also have A LOT of fun! Not a day goes by where I am not reading a nutrition book, training for a race, listening to a wellness podcast, cooking a healthy meal, or engaging with a friends about food. This website will be a gathering and processing place for everything I am learning. I hope you enjoy!
