Meet Stephanie

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

Veggie lover. Nutrition Nerd. Girl Mom. Navy Wife. All the things.

   Hey there!

So you found my little spot in this world. I am a passionate and driven mom of two girls, a Navy wife, and a lover all things food, fitness, and fun! I have a Bachelors in Science and Nutrition and a Certified Registered Dietitian. My first career was as a US Naval Officer serving on two deploying ships out of San Diego and Hawaii after graduating from the United States Naval Academy. I transitioned out of the navy in 2013 to start a family and change careers, becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist in 2020.  I have a slight obsession with vegetables and nutrition science. Welcome aboard!

My journey started in 2012 while serving as a Naval Officer in Hawaii when a friend had a sudden heart attack and died before age 60.  I began to dive into the research and findings of lifestyle doctors such as Dr. Greger, Dr. Barnard,  Dr. Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.  I was interested in the effect food has on our bodies and how what we eat can either heal or harm us.  These doctors and many others saw first-hand how changing someone's diet can effect their lives. That is when I decided to go back to school for my second bachelors in Nutrition.

Along my journey into the field of Dietetics I found out my daughter and I have a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) and it solidified my resolve to learn lifestyle medicine.  I find comfort in knowing what my daughter eats and how she lives her life can positively affect her long-term health outcomes.  My whole family practices heart-healthy habits and together we have lost nearly 80 lbs since starting our adventure.

My long-term goal is to open my own practice bringing in all my passions: whole family nutrition, personal fitness, and integrated lifestyle interventions.  Bring people into my kitchen and teach them how to buy, prep, cook, and recycle their food for themselves and their families. I want to take a holistic approach to wellness, adding in fitness and good mental health practices too.

This website is a starting point for anyone looking to learn more and may need a little help. A place where I can share nutrition and fitness recommendations, research, articles, and thoughts all while having some fun! I hope to inspire and give guidance to anyone who asks.
